With 2017 just 4 months old, adidas already dropped a couple of painted boost midsole with the most eye-catching being the Silver UB and the uncaged iteration.
But somehow, blacked-out midsoles are the craze since the first LTD drop of the UB Triple Black 1.0s (I’m proud to say that I own one of these pairs).
Here’s a look at the THREE Triple blacks that were released the past few months.
- UB Triple Black 3.0
Massive introduction to the 3.0 colour ways. This almost had the Triple Black 1.0s cut from release as adidas was close to rolling out the 3.0s at the time. Glad they still went on with the release. Personally, I would still go for the 1.0s but these are still fresh. And an all black UB is still a massive cop regardless of the models.
2. UB Triple Black 3.0 Version 2 (Black & Silver)
Another refreshing drop to the UB line-up. It’s still touted as the ‘Triple Black’ for some. But I beg to differ, with hints of silver lining the primeknit upper, there’s no way it’s a ‘Triple Black’. Seeing that it’s released in a black midsole, it’s still a stunner nonetheless.
3. Pure BOOST LTD Triple Black
Now this is something else. This LTD drop surfaces a more edgy feel to the Pure BOOST. When I first laid eyes on the leaked images of this pair, I was in love. Clearly, there’s nothing much to hate on black painted boost.
Which one of these would you have copped?
